This documentary follows the life of a 16 year old teenager from Indonesia, Teuku Akbar Maulana. Akbar received a scholarship from the Turkish government to study in Kayseri, Turkey.  Two of his high school friends, who are also Indonesian citizens, have joined ISIS through social media.  Over the course of the film Teuku decides not to join ISIS because of his mother’s advice to focus on school.  His close and loving relationship with his parents help him make this important decision but many other teenagers are not so lucky.

Early 2000, Sani Tawainela, former player for the Indonesian under-15 National Team in the Students Asian Cup 1996, witnesses a child being shot in an armed clash in Ambon. Sani, who has returned to his home village of Tulehu, near the city of Ambon, makes a living as a motorcycle taxi driver, and sees the increasing involvement of children in the religious conflict in Maluku.
Together with Hari, a former professional football player, he sets about creating a football school to divert the local kids from the conflict around them. By 2006, the situation in Maluku has improved, and the young players they have trained have grown into talented young football players. But then Sani and Hari argue over their respective positions in the school.
