O U R M I S S I O N
To promote awareness and appreciation of the diversity of the Indonesian people, provide a dynamic and inclusive forum for exploration of and dialog about Indonesian experience, and encourage independent filmmakers working with Indonesian themes.
San Francisco Indonesian Film Festival intends not only to exhibit the creative works of brilliant Indonesian film talents and powerful cinematography about the country of Indonesia, but most importantly to bring Indonesia’s true identity to the international stage. We are here to screen Indonesian films that radiate the love of Indonesian cultures, history, and people. Mainstream, melancholic, satire, independent, and experimental films; we will bring you high quality Indonesian cinematic works that are entertaining as much as inspiring.
